Elisabeth Bradley, APN, Chris Otto, RN, and Denise Taylor, RD presented “Million Hearts Delaware” at  Nursing Grand Rounds on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015  in the John H. Ammon Medical Education Center Auditorium.  The team discussed the importance of the ABCS (Aspirin, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Smoking Cessation) in cardiovascular disease prevention and how they serve as a framework for patient counseling and prevention. Participants learned to evaluate the resources available to nurses to implement cardiovascular disease prevention into daily practice across all settings in the health care spectrum.
